The Perfect Skincare Choice
I have simply lost count of the many times clients have visited me in despair complaining of puffy, congested skin. During the consultation I find that they have been advised by sales consultants to purchase entirely inappropriate skincare products.

The truth is that the skin has a natural capacity to find its own balance and whether the skin is oily or dry, the application of a multi product beauty routine can very easily exacerbate any problems you may experience. I believe that a skincare regime should be simple, effective and enjoyable! That's why every product in my range looks good, feels good, has a delicious scent and is incredibly effective.
Skin Type Conundrum!
I know that there are many differing opinions regarding how many skin types there actually are, but to simplify matters I have developed five main types that I seem to encounter most often. Below is just a simple overview of the five main types that I create products for -
Skin Type I
Skin that is dry but has areas of shiny, oily skin. Oily areas typically appear at the hairline, nose, mouth and chin. We all suffer from this skin type at some point in our lives and it seems to be the most pernickety one to treat. The key is to be gentle and use skincare that balances rather than irritates.

Skin Type II
Skin is line free (lucky thing!) but due to excess sebum production, skin has a slightly moist texture with a lumpy & bumpy feel. You may also notice that by the end of the day your skin has developed an oily sheen. Pores are noticeable and you will be prone to acne breakouts and inflammation. Its essential to treat this skin type with care. Harsh cleansing regimes makes sebum production increase and post breakout treatments must be healing to prevent scarring and skin discolouration.

Skin Type III
Skin that has a fine, even complexion and pores aren't really that noticeable. There are however areas of dry, parched skin that's prone to flakiness and can feel uncomfortably tight. Dryness can be exacerbated by cold weather, central heating and brutal anti-ageing skincare products.

Skin Type IV
Skin that has lost its natural glow and tone. Sun damage has taken its toll and the skin has a thicker, ruddy texture with a tendency to flush and redden easily. Overly rich skincare products can make this skin type a whole lot worse by causing whiteheads to appear, while harsh anti-ageing products cause skin sensitivity and flakiness.

Skin Type V
Skin that is ultra sensitive, easily irritated and prone to Rosacea. Skin is finely textured and may have visible thread veins around nose and cheeks. This skin type is usually experienced by those who have had a history of acne and/or sun damage. This skin type must be treated oh, so very gently! No nasty chemicals and no overly rich products.
